General information
Around 70,000 visitors from overseas are expected to travel to New Zealand for the 211 Rugby World Cup associated games and events.
The 2011 Rugby World Cup starts in Auckland with the NZ vs Tonga game on 9th September 2011. The final will be played in Auckland on Sunday October 23, 2011, at Eden Park. The Bronze final will be at Eden Park on Friday 21 October.
The semi finals will also be in Auckland on 15th and 16th October 2011. The quarter finals will be held in Christchurch and Wellington (2 games each) on the 8th and 9th October 2011. 48 RWC matches will be held over 7 weeks in 13 different venues throught New Zealand. 20 teams are to compete in the next World Cup.
